Vixen History

Vix founded the Vixen brand in 1996, which began as the specialist design services business, Vixen Designs. Until 2010, Vixen Designs incorporated Production Design (for TV, Film and Theatre), Graphic Design, Furniture Design and Historic Interiors, and is now the business arm of all Vixen’s design work.

In 2011, the Vixen brand diversified to include publishing services under the Imprint: VixenUK, which specialises in factual narration for young children and the communication of complex information to the general public.

In October 2015 Vixen International Events was founded, to manage Vixen VIPs and deliver freelance assistance to UK events, businesses and individuals, specialising in (but not exclusive to) the Space Sector.

Vixen International Events has managed and assisted with major space events in the UK since October 2015:

‘An Evening with Apollo 15’s Al Worden’ was managed (under short notice) and successfully delivered to compliment the 13th Reinventing Space Conference in Nov 2015.

‘Helen Sharman’s 25th Anniversary’ in May 2016 saw 15 ESA astronauts in the UK and Vixen International Events was brought in at the last minute to coordinate and manage the VIP’s schedules and comfort.

‘World Space Week UK and Ireland Tour 2016’ a month-long tour of the UK and Ireland for NASA Apollo Astronaut Al Worden, including a media launch event at Alton Towers on behalf of The British Interplanetary Society.

‘World Space Week UK Tour’ in 2017 a two week UK tour of NASA Apollo Astronaut, Al Worden.

‘Fly With Me to the Moon’ was an exclusive VIP event in Sheffield in 2017, created and delivered by Vixen International Events.

‘New Scientist Live 2017’ Vixen International Events sponsored, coordinated and facilitated Al Worden’s attendance, as well as project managing The British Interplanetary Society’s stand at the event.

‘Farnborough International Airshow’ in 2016 and 2018, supporting Kallman Worldwide and the US Pavilion; Vixen International Events acted as Al Worden’s VIP scheduler, handler and publicity liaison.

‘New Scientist Live 2018’ Vixen International Events sponsored, coordinated and scheduled 6 BBC ‘Astronaut: Do You Have What It Takes?’ contestants and Dr Iya Whiteley’s attendance, as well as managing and facilitating The British Interplanetary Society’s stand at the event.

‘Starmus V’ Zurich in 2019, VIP Management of NASA Apollo Astronaut, Al Worden.

Al Worden’s ‘Celebration of Life’ 2020 – Vixen Internatioanl Events was part of the organisation team, supporting Kallman Worldwide, in the planning, collation of VIP memorial videos and facilitation for this virtual celebration during the COVID19 pandemic, following his death in March 2020.

‘Farnborough International Airshow’ 2022, supporting the management of NASA Apollo Astronaut, Charlie Duke on behalf of Kallman Worldwide and the US Pavillion and inviting and facilitating Global Space Sector and Governmental VIPs to attend the US Pavilion’s Opening Ceremony.
